Necmi is the creator of the distinctive “Dirty Prog” sound, a style that emerged in 2010 when his raw, gritty and highly effective production approach naturally evolved into a recognizable identity on the dancefloor. What began as a personal search for refinement transformed into a unique genre that set him apart within the progressive scene.
His connection with music started early in life. In the early 80s he experimented with tape and record players to create short samples, following several years of playing guitar. By 1992 he immersed himself fully in electronic music after his first contact with the iconic 808 drum machine. His dedication to production excellence led him to study Audio Engineering at SAE in 2004, sharpening both his creative and technical abilities.
Throughout the years, Necmi has balanced his work as a musician with a parallel career in social work, shaping an artistic identity grounded in authenticity and emotional expression. His energetic, raw and unmistakable style has taken him to stages around the world, including Australia, Sweden, France, Israel, Brazil, India, Thailand, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Austria and across Germany.
After his period working as A&R for PSR Music, Necmi founded his own label, iDirty Records, in 2016, establishing a platform fully aligned with his vision and the Dirty Prog movement.
