Created by Parisian producer Stéphane Dureisseix, the project merges Goa trance with a fast-paced morning drive, shaping a distinctive French interpretation of psychedelic trance. Its identity is rooted in hypnotic grooves, immersive melodies, nostalgic synth work, and finely detailed soundscapes. Bamboo Forest, who is also part of the Divinity Records roster, continues to develop new material while maintaining its signature sound.
Originally conceived as a solo act, the project later evolved into a duo with the addition of Yann Hénaff, whose collaboration continued through the second self-titled album Bamboo Forest in 2003. This period helped define the project’s signature sound and long-standing influence within the scene.
Over the years, Bamboo Forest has built a catalog that spans six albums and more than sixty releases across respected labels such as Flying Rhino, Dragonfly, Moon Spirits, Spirit Zone, Spiral Trax, Vision Quest, TIP World, Divinity Records, 3D Vision, Neurobiotic and Proton Brazil.
Recognized for intricate rhythms, lush production, and its unmistakable bass lines, Bamboo Forest has inspired dance floors worldwide and remains one of the most enduring and influential names in psychedelic trance.
